Halloween Happenings!
Thank you to all those who volunteer, helped out, and participated at Halloween Happenings. It is your continued support and hard work that make it an overwhelming success every year. Despite the weather we still had over 300 people attend.

Wreath Sale going on NOW!

Each year the Sussex County 4-H Foundation sponsors a Holiday Wreath Sale through local 4-H clubs. This sale benefits the Foundation and Sussex County 4-H clubs. Funds raised by the Sussex County 4-H Foundation support activities by 4-H members such as scholarships, support for members to attend national 4-H events as well as the support of 4-H programming here in Sussex County.

All wreaths are double faced and made from balsam fir boughs. Their fragrance will convey holiday spirit to friends, family and guests during the holidays. Wreath prices are as follows: 12in wreaths are $13 for plain, $15 for decorated; 3 ft. wreaths are $55 for plain and $60 for decorated.

This is also a great fundraiser for your club. For each 12inch wreath (decorated or non) you club will receive $1; and $5 for each 3 ft. wreath.

Club Sales forms are due to the 4-H office by November 22. Any orders received after that cannot be guaranteed. You can find forms and brochures at:  http://sussex4h.org/Program/sc4h_wreaths.html

Wreath pick up will be at the 4-H Shotwell Building Saturday, November 26TH from 9:30am to 12pm. Payment for your club’s wreath order will need to be made before or at the time of wreath pick up. One check preferred made out to Sussex County 4-H Foundation. Do not deduct your club’s commission. The Foundation will remit a check of your clubs profit to your club’s leader.

There will be a limited number of wreaths available after the Saturday pick up.  Should you need more wreaths, or supplies, they will be at the 4-H office at 130 Morris Turnpike, 973-948-3040.

hhmt16Come have your picture taken with Santa and fund-raise for your 4-H club.

The S. C. 4-H Advisory Council will again be hosting “Pictures with Santa & 4-H Holiday Hodgepodge Market” December 10, 2016 from 11am to 3 pm in the 4-H Shotwell Building at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.

Pictures with Santa will be taken with Santa’s Sleigh. Each session will be $10 with a photo to take home. Pets are welcome, but will be asked to wait in the car until it is their turn.

The Holiday Hodgepodge market is a great way for Sussex County 4-H clubs and family members to participate in a holiday club fundraising opportunity. Each club has the opportunity to sell whatever merchandise they would like (club made items, make and takes, store bought gifts) and keep the profits from their sales. The only ‘cost’ to each participating club would be to provide a bake good or snack for the Advisory Council’s Snack Table during the event.

If a family member or friend of 4-H would like to participate they are more than welcome. This would be local small business or home-sales vendor such as Crafters, Thirty-One, LuLaRoe, Pampered Chef or Living Young Essential Oils representatives. This year we will only be asking them to bring a baked good for the Advisory Council Bake Sale as the fee for the table.

We hope all the clubs consider participating to help make this a fun and successful event.

If your club would like to participate please sign up by clicking here or contacting the 4-H Office (973-948-3040) with your club’s name, leader info, # of tables needed, and type of items being sold.

For any question about this event please feel free to contact the 4-H office.
